  1. Mrs. Chapman,

I want to thank Gary for being okay with the information you have posted. I too have made mistakes, and by compromising righteousness, I did not have the breastplate to protect my heart. I compromised righteousness in the first place because I didn’t have the sword of God’s word in me to fight back, much less the faith to shield me. What you have shared has encouraged me, keeping me from being hardened by the “deceitfulness of sin”, mine and others. The first 20yrs of my life was me seeing the mistakes of others & not lending a hand to help. The last 12yrs has been me making the mistakes and no one to lend a hand. Hopefully, the rest of my life will be me loving others as Christ loved me, humbling myself, serving, loving, and sharing in suffering.

Thank you Gary for being an open book, knowing God only disciplines those he loves ( because he knows their potential ), that he works through all things ( good & bad ) for those that love him, and that we may try to hide our sin and mistakes from others but not from God because he is the only one who can restore us. Plus, he does it in a loving way, the only way a good father can.

If I may encourage you, sir, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” That’s also one of my favorite Campfire songs.

    • Thank you for your encouraging words. I put myself out there, because NO ONE is perfect. NO ONE has lead a sinless life. Every sin is equal in God’s eyes. I know it’s hard to wrap our brains around that one, but it is clearly stated. I don’t regret one bit of my life. My mistakes made me stronger in my faith and being. God has my hand and he will lead me through the rest of my life. Will I screw up??? Of course. Will I ask for forgiveness? Of course. Will God still love me? LIKE NO OTHER!

Gary and I have such a wonderful marriage. We communicate and we love each other more and more every day. He is my editor LOL! So he puts his stamp of approval on every blog :0)

G and I have been through the wringer, and on some levels, we still are being put through the wringer. However, we know we can help others by telling our story. This blog is my story and his story will be a book later down the road. Life is so funny. One day your on the mountain top and the next your drowning. Keeping focused on HIM is the key.

Thank you for sharing a little bit about you. I pray that you will stay strong. I ask for you to pray the same for me. GBY!
